Connect: End of Year Show 2026

The work presented here reflects a wide range of interests, perspectives, and approaches. Through research, experimentation, and making, our students have explored themes including community, identity, sustainability, learning, wellbeing, and the future of shared spaces, developing thoughtful responses to contemporary challenges.

At the heart of BA (Hons) Spatial & Interior Design is a belief in the power of design to shape experiences, relationships, and environments. We encourage students to think critically, work collaboratively, and imagine how spaces might become more inclusive, engaging, and meaningful for the people who inhabit them.

This year, students across all stages engaged with the university itself as a site for design enquiry. Working within buildings, landscapes, and institutional spaces, they explored how design can respond to changing social, cultural, and environmental needs. Projects ranged from interventions within existing spaces to speculative proposals that reimagine how we learn, gather, and connect.

These projects represent the conversations, testing, and discovery that underpin spatial design practice. Together, they demonstrate the creativity, resilience, curiosity, and ambition of this year's graduating cohort.
